HOW TO JOIN THE POKER RUN
STEP 1: REGISTER
Registration starts with our Kick Off Party on Friday, July 14th from 6pm-9pm at Vernon's Lakeside. At registration, you'll receive your stops, wristband and a goodie bag filled with great items from our sponsors. Don't forget to pick up your limited edition 2023 Cedar Creek Lake Poker Run T-shirt before they sell out. Parrot Head Club members, we'll have a new club t-shirt and new merchandise, if you're not a Cedar Creek Lake Parrot Head Club member, we'll have members at registration to help you join.
If you're unable to make it Friday, you'll be able to register the morning of the Poker Run on Saturday, July 15th from 10am-noon at Vernon's Lakeside.

STEP 2: GET YOUR ENGINES STARTED
It's Poker Run Day! At registration you'll receive a list of the Home Stop locations, you'll find a party at each stop. You can do the Poker Run by land or water, it's your choice. Once your finished with the stops, head on over to Tom Finley Park to open your poker hands, fuel up on some great food from our food trucks, listen to live music and maybe place a bid on one of our ridiculously awesome live and silent auction items.

Goodie Bags
If you are a sponsor or donate a product or service to the auction you can participate in the goodie bags. These are given to every person that registers for the Poker Run. Items can include any advertising specialty product (sunglasses, key fobs, cups, koozies, cell phone protectors, sunscreen, bottle openers, magnets, etc.) If you'd like to include a card or flyer it must have a freebie (buy one, get one free or at least a 25% discount. We need a minimum of 600 pieces and they need to be turned in by July 9th. They can be given to a auction representative or dropped off at Cedar Creek Brewery.
About The Cedar Creek Lake Poker Run
The Cedar Creek Lake Parrot Head Club (CCLPHC) Annual Poker Run is one of the largest events on the lake and is the main fundraiser for the CCLPHC club’s charitable work. Over the last 20 years we have raised over a million dollars that has been given back to our lake community.
Some of the charities we support are scholarships for the 7 area high schools, Cedar Creek Library, Tri-County Library, Humane Society of Cedar Creek Lake, Athens Humane Society, Henderson County Help Center, East Texas Crisis Center, all the food pantries in the area, adopting several kids every Christmas, and a bunch of other great charitable organizations.
The fun starts at Vernon’s Lakeside on Friday, July 14th from 6 PM to 9 PM with the registration party! Here you can sign up to participate in the Poker Run ($25.00 per person) and get your goody bag, sign up to be a member of the CCLPHC (if you want) and check out some great merchandise and the new Poker Run
T-Shirt. There are several hundred participants that will come through that night – great time to meet Parrot Heads and other Poker Run participants.
On Saturday, July 15th – registration continues at Vernon’s Lakeside from 10 AM to Noon then the real fun begins!
You are given clues and a map to 4 or 5 stops around the lake (you can go by boat or car) at each stop you will find amazing parties – with music, fun and food (BYOB). From Noon to 4 PM you make your way to the stops and have a great time – meeting new people, maybe getting hit with a water balloon or water cannon and spending time at the stop and in the water.
From 4 PM to 8 PM the fun moves to Tom Finley Park where there is a live band, raffles including a huge wheelbarrow of booze, live and silent auction, opening of poker hands and announcing the best dressed boat crew and best decorated boat. The live and silent auctions feature amazing items, and the purchase helps the Cedar Creek Lake Parrot Head Club continue to support our charities!
